Family Resource Center

FRC Mission: To enhance students’ abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote: Early learning and successful transition into school; Academic achievement and well-being; and Graduation and transition into adult life

FRC is school based, grant funded Center designed to identify and coordinate school and community resources to increase students’ academic success. The FRC works with parents, teachers, students and community to help meet needs for both students and families. The FRC assists with goals set by Justice School with programs and services throughout the year that help students experience a successful academic school year.

    Family Resource Center Action Components

    The FRC operates under action components that are written into a grant every 2 years based on parent, staff and community surveys.

    • Full-time Preschool and After-School Childcare: Information about local licensed and/or certified child care providers and information for summer camps and other programs when school is not in session.
    • Family Literacy: School-wide family fun activities to promote family involvement and participation to promote lifelong learners.
    • Families in Training: Programs for new and expectant parents; educational programs, information, and referrals to help monitor child development. Born Learning Academy is a 6-session program the entire family attends. We provide dinner, fun and prizes at each session. More details soon about Born Learning 2020-2021.
    • Health Services/Referrals: Provide information/referrals for low cost dental, vision and/or health services.
    • Educational Support: help to address barriers to education. Basic needs: provide resources and referrals to families experiencing financial difficulties (i.e. food insecurity, school supply assistance, clothing assistance, etc.). and help promote various activities to help students succeed academically.

    Clothing for students when accidents occur. Type of clothing: stretchy/elastic waist type pants for boys and girls; sizes 4T – adult sizes. Please consider donating clothing that is in good condition, odor-free and ready to be worn. Tax receipts are available for all donations. Thank You!
